Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Electric Dream, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian. You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep it up to date.

You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Don't share your password. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access.

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings — title, price, condition, photos, and specs. Misleading or fake listings may be removed without notice. Repeat offenders may have their account suspended.

You may not list:

• Items you don't own or aren't authorised to sell
• Stolen or counterfeit goods
• Items that breach NZ consumer or vehicle compliance law
• Vehicles without a valid WoF or with disclosed safety issues hidden

Messages sent through Electric Dream are between buyer and seller. Be civil. Don't share personal contact details for the purpose of soliciting off-platform payments to evade buyer protections.

Ratings must reflect a real transaction. Fake or retaliatory ratings will be removed.

Electric Dream provides the marketplace. The transaction itself — payment, delivery, transfer of ownership, and any disputes — is between the buyer and seller. We don't process payments and don't hold funds.

Dealers must provide a valid NZBN. Verification is manual and at our discretion. The verified badge is a statement that we checked the NZBN, not a warranty about the dealer's conduct or stock.

• Scraping, automated bulk access, or denial-of-service attempts
• Impersonating other users or businesses
• Spam, harassment, or threatening communications
• Reverse engineering or attempting to bypass platform security

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Electric Dream is provided as is, to the extent permitted by NZ law. We aren't liable for the conduct of other users, the accuracy of listings, or losses arising from transactions you enter into through the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via notification or email. Continued use after a change means acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
