Privacy Policy

When you create an account or list an item, we collect the information you give us:

• Login email and password (passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text)
• Public profile details: username, name, avatar, bio, optional contact email and phone
• For dealers: business name, NZBN, address, contact details
• Listings you post and messages you send
• Ratings you give and receive

We also collect operational data:

• Server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging
• Cookies needed to keep you signed in (session cookies set by Supabase)

We do not sell your personal information. We don't currently run third-party advertising trackers.

• To run the marketplace — show your listings, deliver your messages, surface ratings
• To verify dealer accounts
• To respond to support requests
• To detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• To send transactional notifications (new enquiry, message, rating)

We share information with:

• Supabase — our hosting and database provider; processes data on our behalf under their privacy terms
• Other users, where you've chosen to make information public (your username, listings, ratings, and any contact details you added to your profile)
• Authorities, when required by NZ law (e.g. responding to a valid court order)

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

• You can update your profile and notification preferences at any time
• You can ask us to export or delete your account data — email support
• You can withdraw or delete listings you've posted

Electric Dream isn't intended for people under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

We'll let you know about material changes to this policy via notification or email.
